BC Wildlife Park

The BC Wildlife Park is a non-profit organization and registered charity located in Kamloops. Founded in 1965, it is now home to nearly 200 animals and 65 different species native to British Columbia including cougars, bears, reptiles, birds of prey, and the only Kermode bear in human care in the world.

Embleton Mountain

The beautiful Embleton Mountain trail system is a short drive from Sun Peaks, near Heffley Lake. Here, wildflowers are in abundance. Explore the trails in search of rare chocolate lilies and discover the serenity of nature.

Heffley Lake Public Recreation Area

Heffley Lake is a 14-minute drive from Sun Peaks Resort. As you follow the main road back towards Kamloops, there is a forestry road leading into the camping and day area site on the left-hand side of the road.
